Principal Hans Figueroa (Fig) has been an important member of the LLA faculty for nine years now. He first worked as a science teacher then switched to administration. Principal Figueroa has created numerous memories at LLA. He has faced multiple obstacles during his time here, but the biggest challenge for him was during the pandemic since he worked late hours and had the difficulties of opening the school as fast as possible. Even with these downsides, Fig has many favorite memories such as spending time with students and also driving the boat for the seniors and watching them fly off the inner tube during Havasu.
The reason why Principal Figueroa is leaving LLA now is to move closer to family who live in Michigan. Some future plans of his are to send in applications to Andrew’s University for an administration role. Even though Fig is glad to live closer to his family, he’s disappointed to leave LLA since he loves engaging with everyone at Loma Linda Academy. He hopes that the school will continue to thrive and bless the students.
