Many people were upset about Beach Day being canceled. We were supposed to have our beach day on September 15 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. We couldn't go to the beach but we did have a pool vespers in replace of it; however, we still had to go to school. S.A. obviously had to have different games because there's no sand at a pool. From what I saw and experienced myself, it was fun for the most part.
Why did they have to cancel beach day and have it at Drayson Center one may ask? What they told everyone was that there were not enough buses. That may seem a bit generic, but that’s literally what happened. Now why didn't we have enough buses is another topic that we won’t get into just yet.“But the junior high went” yes they did, but the day that was supposed to be High School beach day, there were only 2 buses on the junior high side, meaning not as many people as the highschool side was going.
Preparing or reforming plans for Beach Day was an entirely different mess in itself. It is already hectic enough to plan a Beach Day, but to have to re-plan something that was already in place is another headache However, S.A. managed to improvise Mrs Constanzo states, “I'm really proud of our underclassmen S.A. officers especially for doing the lionshare of the work while we were at Havasu. Some thought they pulled it off.
People may ask if the LLA administration did something that made the bus companies not want to work with the school anymore, and that would be a valid inquiry, but it is also a statement that can be easily debunked. When it comes to buses, since we’re a private school we don't have the same bus privileges as the public schools do. Public schools have cheer squads, football teams and other things so those contracts have already been established for buses prior to ours. Even though we didn't have enough buses to go to the beach, Students say that had a fun pool vespers instead.
